FOCUS ACT

The FOCUS Act, recently passed by the Alabama Legislature, will go into effect for the 2025–2026 school year. This new law prohibits the use of smartphones, smartwatches, AirPods, smart glasses, and other personal communication devices during the school day in all Alabama public schools—which will include Marshall Christian Academy.

In addition to restricting device usage, the law also requires schools to provide an internet safety course for students.
